Lauren Packard is a multi-disciplinary artist living and working in Brooklyn, NY. After undergoing brain surgery in 2014 and again in 2023, she turned to paint to express what words couldn’t. Lauren’s work explores and abstracts ideas and memories of queer identity, nostalgia, and femininity through the use of materials and intuitive marks; a push-pull in exploring the visceral. She disorients and disrupts through a combination of marks, textures, and material, referencing punk and the domestic.
